body stuff and dance experiments. everyone welcome, no experience needed.
with mara we’ll rest, play, dream, make creative containers and let them spill over. we’ll work with embodied practices that unfold — breath, sound, touch, writing/drawing, moving without knowing. we’ll fuck around and find out what invites us to be present in the moment as it deepens/dissolves/transforms.
with eddy, we will embark on a series of playful rituals, embracing the wisdom of the physical, with a soundtrack to guide us through. we will shake, twist, roll, sway, slow dance with gravity, invite suspension and release, slip in and out of our multiple beings, and come as we are.
at dance rave we’ll offer some simple and expansive movement invitations, but mostly just freaking dance to house/electronic music, get into it, get what we need. masks required for dance rave. all proceeds from dance rave go to mutual aid for palestine.
access info:
please test or mask for dance class - tests and masks provided if you need. masks required at dance rave. if you feel sick or have been exposed, please stay home and rest. an air filter will be running and windows will be open as the weather allows. the studio is up a flight of stairs - please let us know if this is a barrier for you, and we’ll look into other options.
about us:
eddy´s practice is expansive and various, a playground for cross-disciplinary collaborative making, rerouting, slowing down, deep listening, queer neurodivergent expression, and personal / communal transformation.
mara practices with and among human and more-than-human collaborations, and with the body as an uncontainable collective presence. they are committed to art as a practice inseparable from the world we live in and the worlds we make together.
