Portals: Collective practice for presence that exceeds the container
This class will move between the somatic, improvisational, and generative to find freedom in form, and transformations of form. We’ll massage our nervous systems with the support of breath, sound, and embodied visualization, and juice ourselves up with movement that makes way for unexpected collaborations with ourselves, and with the place and presences around us. Through creative and compositional experiments, we'll tune to a resonant shared field, leaving room for the unknown.
This offering draws from my practice and study with Margit Galanter / Cave Forms, Lisa Nelson / Tuning Scores, Suprapto Suryodarmo / Amerta Movement, Benoît Lachambre, and Wild Goose Qigong.

Sun Studio is on the 2nd floor. It's my understanding that I won’t have access to the freight elevator -- if this is an accessibility barrier for you, please let me know and I’ll look into it further. Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Covid:
A portable air filter will be running during class. The building has central heat so the windows will be cracked open for airflow. Masks are welcome. If you’ve been exposed or feel sick, please stay home and test.
